  • Learning objectives:
    Students can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in the field of Business English. They can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. They can produce clear, detailed
    texts on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options (CEFR). 
  • Prerequisite:
    Level A2 (CEFR) of English required. 
  • Teaching methods:
    The course will last 48 hours. Interactive activities are implemented during the lessons. Students will be engaged in exercises, readings, listening, and watching videos.

  • Exam type:
    To achieve the proficiency, students need to pass an oral test assessing their competence in the four language skills and in Business English.

The course focuses on the acquisition of the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing - at the level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. The language structures of Business English will also be analyzed.
